Restoration & Extensions
Timber Framed Extension onto Period Property
This project was a ground-up construction extension. It began with the careful removal and responsible disposal of the existing patio, followed by the laying of a reinforced, level foundation. The build proceeded with full timber-frame construction and comprehensive structural and finish work, and was delivered in a turnkey fashion with every stage professionally managed and completed by our experienced team. The customer was handed the keys once the project was fully finished, inspected and ready for immediate use.
Internal Structural Repair Work of Period Property
This period property suffered significant dry rot which compromised the structural integrity, necessitating the removal of all affected structural timbers from the ground floor up to the second floor.
The structural wall was first reinforced with acro props to safely take the building load, allowing the removal of the old defective timber to begin.
Once the rotten timber was fully removed, the wall was rebuilt using C24 structural timber and sheathed with structural OSB for added strength. The work was finished with firecheck plasterboard and a multi-finish plaster skim to provide a compliant, durable interior surface.
External Gable End Removal
Partial removal of stone gable end. The project involved carefully removing the failing upper section of the existing gable end wall and constructing an internal structural timber wall to preserve the roof’s long-term integrity. We removed all loose and damaged stone as shown in the photographs, then provided reinforcement with a concrete pad to support the new blockwork installation.
